Rise of Merlin
A Play'n GO demo
Before the long beard and the tower, there was a young Merlin with a staff and an orb he never set down. Play'n GO tells that earlier story in a slot released on 17 June 2019. Our third panel shows the orb resting on its staff, since it's the symbol you'll be watching for.
Merlin's orb stays dark until the age check is done. If you're 18 or over, press "I am of age (18+)" and the demo will appear here.
What runs here is Play'n GO's own fun-mode build, straight from the provider's server, and its credits are demo credits without value. A frame that stays blank usually needs a page reload or a different browser.
How the tale unfolds
Merlin's Magical Orb has two roles. As a wild, it stands in for other symbols to help complete matching lines. As a scatter, it opens the free spins: three or more orbs bring 8 free spins, and every retrigger during the round adds another 8.
In the free spins, one symbol is chosen at random to be the expanding symbol. When it lands in enough places, it expands across the reels it sits on. How many it needs depends on its rank. A high symbol needs two more of its kind on the reels before it expands, while a low symbol needs at least three.
So the humbler symbols ask more of the reels before they spread, which feels about right for an apprentice's spell. Whichever symbol holds the spell for the round is the one to keep an eye on.
As on every panel here, the count in the corner is demo credits and nothing more, and it resets on reload.
